There is a large, free designated parking area immediately adjacent to Mitton Manor Gardens. Parking here is on a grassed area on slight gradient sloping upwards towards the entrance. With prior notice, disabled visitors may park on the private drive.
The garden is accessed by an arrangement of paved and gravel paths. It comprises split levels, steps and changes in floor surface as well as entirely grassed areas. There are several benches and seating areas at regular intervals throughout the gardens and there are limited handrails on stepped areas. Therefore, to access the entirety of the gardens will be difficult for wheelchair users and those with mobility issues.
Please contact us to discuss how we can help you enjoy our gardens if you have mobility issues.
Our public toilets are accessed via three steps with a ramp for disabled access.
Doggies are welcome if they:
– Are on a lead – Are comfortable with other dogs and people – Stick to the paths in the formal gardens.
Please can owners ‘scoop up poop’ and never leave their dogs unattended. No more than one dog per person. Dogs creating a problem must leave when requested.
We offer ‘Woofternoon Tea’, on the Swimming Pool Terrace so your pup can enjoy their own treat whilst you have yours!Woofternoon Tea (£10) consists of dog-friendly cake, dog biscuits, ‘Bottom Sniffer’ dog beer/Pawsecco and as much water as they need.
