What our visitors say

Finally visited @MittonManor in South Staffs. A wonderful garden full of structure and topiary. Definitely returning in July for the NGS.

On behalf of my friend and I would like to thank you for a wonderful day today in your beautiful open garden, Sunday 2nd July 2017. I can honestly say this is the best garden for its size that I have ever been to, and my friend and I will certainly be back next year.

We had our ‘Alice’ tea which was delicious, served by two of your male staff who know the true meaning of customer service. Please pass on our thanks and appreciation to all involved, we will both be singing your praises to our friends and wish you continued success in your venture.

We are all members of the National Trust and enjoy visiting interesting gardens. Gwen and I visited you on your open day last year we were made extremely welcome. We are looking for a group visit in 2018 with a guided tour either on one of Mitton Manor’s open days or a private visit.

Hello Lady of the Manor, I must write to tell you how much we all enjoyed our visit to your absolutely awe inspiring gardens yesterday. We strolled around feeling privileged to be there enjoying the tranquillity and noting the attention to detail and marvelled at every view we saw. We partook of Alice’s Afternoon Tea having seen others enjoying the delicious delights, we just couldn’t resist. The musicians added a certain style to the occasion and were much appreciated. Your Tea Party has given me an idea for a village WI event for Egginton next year – An Alice’s ” Ladies Afternoon Tea Party” with our local Baronet as The Mad Hatter … just a thought!

I just wanted to say thank you for hosting such a lovely event at your open gardens today. As someone who’s grown up admiring your house every time we drive down the lane it’s such a treat and privilege to open your gates and welcome people in. Your gardens are so beautiful, so much care, hard work and thought has clearly gone into the design and to be allowed to look around was a real treat! A lovely afternoon out, thank you so much! Our little boy, my husband and I all enjoyed it and it was so lovely to see so many generations enjoying your hard work and dedication. Once again, thank you for hosting such a splendid event! Best wishes Fran x

You know a good garden when it still holds your attention despite being blown sideways! I think the lovely cake and champagne helped. Well done. Can’t wait to see it when the borders are in full bloom.

A big thank you to all at the manor for the open invitation. It was a privilege to walk the gardens and relax by the pool!
